HocusLocus is a drug discovery support company that believes the 95% of the genome formerly considered “junk” provides the next frontier for breeding innovative new drug therapies. This genomic junkyard has already yielded up many new and vitally important components of genomic regulatory processes, and as we've barely scratched the surface in its exploration, we believe it harbors many more crucially important discoveries. To that end, HocusLocus’ goal is to create genomics disovery tools to understand this vast expanse of genetic code and develop novel therapies using our newfound understanding.

We have two main genomics discovery tools in development for internal use and wide-spread commercialization: (1) a suite of algorithms that generically analyze and integrate any and all genomics information using genomic coordinates as their basis, and (2) a high-throughput antibody microarray, developed in conjunction with the Albany NanoTech center, that can be used to reduce the time and complexity of the ChIP-Chip, RIP-Chip and traditional immunoassays.

In addition, we have exploited our unique tools and insights to uncover a novel form of regulatory cross-talk between viruses and their hosts. This, we are actively pursuing as an exciting new platform for anti-viral therapies.
